Remembering Our Heroes through the holidays sparks 11th Annual  Christmas Cards Signing & Holiday Care Packages For The Troops*

*SIMI VALLEY**, CA**…*For The Troops (FTT) is sponsoring its “11th  Annual Christmas and Holiday Card Signing & Holiday Care Packages” event on Saturday, November 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 2912 Cochran  Avenue (new location), Simi Valley, CA 93065 (Sycamore Village Shopping Center).Everyone (all ages) is encouraged to stop by and join in signing  Holiday Cards to be included in our “We Care” packages being shipped to  our Troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and other deployed locations.You are  welcome to bring your own cards and items from our Troops Wish List, or 
special holiday items to be sent.There will be a lot of fun and  refreshments will be provided.

For The Troops is also asking for letters of support from individuals, especially children’s letters, to be included in our “We Care” packages.Letter Writing Guidelines can be found on the website at

“To date we have shipped over 200,000 packages.The Christmas card signing is our most joyful event every year.We are so grateful to our many generous supporters that help make it possible for us to continue our work, supporting our Heroes, “One Care Package At A Time” states Paula Cornell, Co-Founder of For The Troops.

For The Troops is in need of donations for their “We Care” packages.Requested items can be found on website “Troops Wish List”.  Items most requested are baby wipes, hot sauce, applesauce and puddings, snacks, candy, socks, coffee, tea, water flavors packets, small cans tuna, crackers, gum, chocolate, lip balm, cotton swabs, beef jerky, CDs, DVDs and magazines.All monetary donations will help defray the monthly postage expense of approximately $30,000.00 to send packages to American Freedom Fighters. Any contribution is greatly appreciated as well as greatly needed.
