16 Year Old Oxnard Juvenile Dies Several Days After Being Shot

A male juvenile was found suffering from a gunshot wound on April 29, 2021 at around 8:35 PM, in the 200 block of James Ave.  The identity of the male was not immediately known. It was later determined that the male was a 16 year old juvenile, who lived in Oxnard. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. 

On May 6th, 2021, after the shooting, the juvenile victim was taken off life support and pronounced dead.

The Oxnard Police Department Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. This is the fourth homicide in the City of Oxnard this year.
