Gang Member/ Prohibited Person Arrested for Firearm Possession
On August 6th, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on South J Street at Linden Drive, in Oxnard. Officers contacted the driver who is a 17-year-old documented Oxnard gang member. Officers learned that he is on probation with searchable terms. The 17-year-old juvenile has previously been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm. Officers conducted a probation search at his residence and located a loaded 9mm firearm in his bedroom. The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for various firearm violations.
