Property taxes not paid on or before December 10, 2020 will become delinquent, and property taxes paid after December 10, 2020 will be assessed a late payment penalty fee of 10%. For more information, go to https://www.ventura.org/ttc/. Pursuant to Executive Order by Governor Newsom, the County of Ventura Government Center offices are CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. During this challenging time, your patience is appreciated while our COVID-19 environment changes almost daily.

    WAYS TO PAY:

USPS POSTMARKED MAIL: Payments should be remitted to the Tax Collector’s payment processor at PO Box 51179, Los Angeles, CA 90051-5479. Payments may also be mailed to the Tax Collector’s main office at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009-1290. Checks, cashier’s checks and money orders are accepted. The timeliness of mailed payments is measured by the official U.S. Postal Service cancellation mark.

ONLINE: Property tax inquiries and payments may be made online at prop-tax.countyofventura.org/. Payments can be made with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are accepted) or electronic check. Processor’s convenience fees will apply including $1.10 per eCheck transaction and 2.15% per credit card transaction.

    DROP BOXES:

OUTSIDE THE HALL OF ADMINISTRATION (BEGINNING NOVEMBER 4, 2020): Tax payments made by check (NO CASH) may be dropped in the Tax Collector’s Drop Box outside the Hall of Administration, at the corner of Parking Lot F (the large parking lot with the solar panels). It is located on the curb, next to the Election ballot box and is available 24/7. Please write your APN/bill number on your check.

INSIDE THE HALL OF ADMINISTRATION: Tax payments made by check (NO CASH) may be dropped in the Tax Collector’s Drop Box inside the Hall of Administration’s main doors, from 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday, at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009. Though the building is closed, the drop box inside the building has been made accessible for property tax payments, with no COVID-19 screening required. The drop box is located on the right-hand side of the hallway of the main entrance, directly outside of the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office. Please write your APN/bill number on your check.
