Sheriff arrested Oxnard man for robbery of Ventura County Credit Union in Moorpark

Sheriff’s detectives arrested an Oxnard man for the robbery of a Ventura County Credit Union branch that took place in Moorpark on December 14, 2017.
Investigators located evidence at the bank and several other locations linking 31-year-old Erik Santoyo to the robbery, during which Santoyo had used a note and simulated having a firearm in his possession. No employees were injured during the early afternoon robbery, and there were no other customers in the bank at the time.
Santoyo was booked on December 15, 2017 for one count of first-degree robbery at the Pre Trial Detention Facility in Ventura. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
