3 Month Investigation Leads to Arrest of Oxnard resident for Meth Sales

Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release  

On 04/05/2018, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Narcotic’s Street Team concluded a three month long narcotic investigation into Oxnard resident, Ernesto Reynoso, who was involved in the sales of methamphetamine to residents of Ventura County. The West County Street Team was assisted by the Oxnard Police Department’s Neighborhood Policing Team.

Detectives detained Reynoso and Selina Orta during a traffic stop in the city of Oxnard, where Orta was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. A signed search warrant was then executed at Reynoso’s residence and storage locker which were also located in the city of Oxnard.

During the search of Reynoso’s residence and storage locker, Detectives located approximately 12 ounces of methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia indicative of methamphetamine sales and a sum of currency deemed to be proceeds of illegal narcotic sales.

Reynoso was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for possession for sales of methamphetamine and his bail was set at $200,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for 4/18/2018 at 1:30 PM in Court Room 12. Orta was cited and released for possession of methamphetamine.

The West County Street Narcotics Team is comprised of narcotic detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Oxnard Police Department, and the Port Hueneme Police Department.
