William "Bill" Hicks

We live in what amounts to a desert with some mountains that provide snow and water in undetermined amounts from year to year. This has been a fact for long before the “invention” of global warming.

It has always been an issue of supply and demand since before California was a State. Currently, and for many years, the emphasis has been put on demand instead of supply; even when we had good years of supply. Through several Governors, regardless of political affiliation, the policy has not been to increase supply for human use, but to limit it by various methods.

It’s time we stop kicking that can down the road for someone else to correct and reevaluate our storage and distribution methods. Screw any false notion that it’s “global warming” when it’s pure political and economical why Sacramento just continues to approve higher water rates.
