7th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival – September 29, 2018
Port Hueneme, Calif.—One of America’s favorite fruits, the banana, will be celebrated at the 7th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival, Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Festival goers will enjoy a variety of delicious foods including sandwiches, empanadas (including a banana version), banana splits, banana funnel cakes, chocolate-banana milkshakes, frozen chocolate covered bananas and more. Each food vendor will offer at least one unique banana dish. The festival also features live bands, beer and margaritas, arts and crafts vendors, and kids’ crafts and activities. Free land and water tours of the Port are available that highlight its 81 years as Ventura County’s only deep-water working port. The festival is located at the Port of Hueneme, with the entrance at the corner of Surfside Drive and Market Street. Free admission and parking at the beach lots.
