Join VCAS, See the Webb Space Telescope

Consider the benefits of joining VCAS as a fully entitled Member, because now would be a great time to join. This is to announce that VCAS Tour 16 on July 22 * to the James Webb Space Telescope is now open for signups at the Members Only page of our website, vcas.org, until Monday April 29.**   This tour is scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2019, with arrival for visitors requested by 09:30 for receiving preprinted visitors’ badges, the welcoming presentation (see full-scale model and learn about Grumman’s historic Apollo LEM rocket engine!), and the JWST observation tour at Northrop Grumman Space Park in Redondo Beach, which we expect to complete by 11:30.

Again:  Tours to JWST are free, and parking at Northrop Grumman is free and usually abundant.  Please remember that no photography or recording of any kind is permitted anywhere on this national defense site.

Thanks to all who have already joined or renewed and who have registered for the first 6 summer tours! Including several of our members who are returning for another look!

[Also note that there are still slots open for tours 11, 12, 13 & 15.  Contact Phil Regier at his email to be added to these tours]

If you have a few minutes, check out this recent video, which answers some frequent questions about the Webb Telescope.  The telescope is currently fully visible awaiting the return of the sunshield from environmental testing, which will occur by the time of the summer tours.

Contact Phil Regier VCAS[email protected] if you need assistance with this or any other questions.

If you wish to correct or change your registration after signing up, please email me and please do not register for multiple tours unless you intend to attend them.
