Our Constitution may be “just words”, but they are some of the most important words ever recorded in human history! It is the blueprint for the laws we live by. Our Constitution gives us our liberty and makes our lifestyles possible!
Some among you know POV-Point Of View, Ventura County is celebrating Constitution Week 2019 differently this year from the past two years. In the past we approached, and got, city councils, school districts, the Board of Supervisors, and even the State Assembly to issue Constitution Week Proclamations.
This year we will distribute pocket-size US Constitutions to the public the weekend of September 14-15. As per Public Law 915 passed on August 2, 1956 Constitution Week is to be proclaimed by the President and celebrated every year, September 17-23. Distribution will be at locations throughout Ventura County.Â
