Fire erupted in Simi Valley along Easy Street at 6:09 AM this morning, October 30th. It prompted more school closures, road closures and mandatory evacuations.

Firefighters in Ventura County have responded to what was called a “large fire” burning between the communities of Simi Valley and Moorpark Wednesday morning.
The Easy Fire was reported around 6:15 a.m. south of the 118 Freeway near Tierra Rejada Road.
Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for residents of the city of Simi Valley, unincorporated Simi Valley and the city of Moorpark in the following area:
