Santa has worked his holiday magic to transform Plaza Park into a veritable winter wonderland for the entire month of December. See the historic Oxnard pagoda lit in a dazzling display of lights, adorned with Christmas-themed characters and covered in snow – all set beside the tallest Christmas tree in Ventura County!
Christmas Tree Lane

Take a stroll through the beautifully decorated historic homes on “F” and “G” Streets between 5th and Palm during the holidays. One of the most cherished events in Oxnard for more than 26 years, these elaborate holiday decorations make up one of Ventura County’s biggest residential light displays and are sure to make your season merry and bright. Make your visit to Christmas tree lane the event of the year by booking a Sip, Taste and Tour trip, a guided stroll that includes tours through the interior of four historic homes as well as food and drinks from local restaurants, wineries and breweries.
Don’t want to walk? Get off your feet, and enjoy a 55-minute guided tour on the Holly Trolley with a stop at the historic Heritage Square for cookies and cocoa!
Parade of Lights
When: December 14th
10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Where: Channel Islands Harbor
The Channel Islands Harbor will kick off the holidays with its 54th annual holiday Parade of Lights, themed “Musical Notes & Holiday Floats.” Entrants are asked to decorate their vessels based on their favorite holiday tunes. Everyone is invited to enjoy a full day of holiday activities and watch festively decorated boats in the parade while listening to carolers sing holiday songs.
Oxnard Parade of Lights Schedule
Beginning at 10 a.m., families can play in tons of snow falling at the north end of Harbor View Park, off Harbor Blvd. near Marine Emporium Landing, 3600 Harbor Blvd. Santa will be there from noon – 4 p.m. and will take pictures with families free of charge. There will also be holiday arts and crafts vendors starting at 10 a.m.
At 6:30 p.m., head over to the Channel Islands Maritime Museum and watch the Holiday Lighting of the 75-foot “Tallship Mast” in front of the museum. This event takes place just before the Parade of Lights starts. There will be carolers, sing-alongs, a visit from Santa and the official mast lighting
The parade starts at 7 p.m. in front of Peninsula Park and heads to the Main Channel, turns at Kiddie Beach, loops in front of the launch ramp then heads back to Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club and repeats the route for a second run. The parade can be viewed from parks and walkways that line the route as well as from most Harbor restaurants. Boat charters are available for those who want to watch the parade from the water.
