Fireside Chat Racism Bible Study with Pastor Rob McCoy: God says: “Let Us make man in Our image”

    By Michael Hernandez

NEWBURY PARK–”Let Us make man in Our image,” said Pastor Rob McCoy reading from Genesis 1:26 on Friday’s Fireside Chat (Episode 76). “Race is God created and ism is sin.  Racism is sinful ethnic prejudice. Any ism is attitudinal. All attitudes are rooted in the heart.

“All these evil things come from within and defile a man” (Mark 7:23). “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings” (Acts 7:26).

“He who says he is the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes” (1 John 2:9-11).

“Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” (1 John 3:15-16).

“We don’t want what happened to George Floyd,” said Pastor Rob McCoy.  “We want that gone. Nobody is in disagreement. Everyone is disgusted. But the social justice triangle pushes intersectionalism, anti-capitalism, and identity.  This is a push for socialism and communism which is not biblical.  Social justice creates a problem. Justice is never qualified. Social justice is partiality. Justice is not qualified, it’s impartial.

“We are left with only two options:  love somebody or hate them.  There is no room for ethnic prejudice. Race is assigned by God. We must not allow hate to drive the narrative and divide us.  When words declare a separation that is a problem. Injustice needs to be corrected. But the holocaust of black children needs to end. Abortion needs to end (as do) the murders and the devastation of the black community.”

Fireside Chat with Charlie Kirk:  “We’ve forgotten our history”

”We’ve forgotten our history but you cannot forget what has not been taught,” said Charlie Kirk in Saturday’s “Fireside Chat” (Episode 77). “We have seen a decline in truth in a pretty serious way. If we become compliant, if Christians go along (with rioting) our civilization will be destroyed. Christians are the last line of defense. This will end catastrophically.”

Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, will be the guest speaker at next Sunday’s June 14th church service at Godspeak Calvary, located at 320 Las Brisas Road.

The host of “Fireside Chat” Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy started Episode 77 (along with David Glienke) in remembrance of the 76th Anniversary of the 1944 D-Day invasion of Normandy, France (which was the largest seaborne invasion in history and focused on the The Bedford Boys and the cost this Virginia town paid during the invasion as well as the heroics of Army Staff Sgt. Walter D. Ehlers). Pastor McCoy also remembered the anniversary of the 1942 Battle of Midway (which took place six months after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor) and featured the heroics of Navy Lt Commander Richard Halsey Best (who sank two Japanese aircraft carriers in one day).

“Fireside Chat” airs every evening at 7 p.m. and the YouTube channel can be accessed through the Godspeak website address. Other “Fireside Chats” for the month of June include the following guests:
