Vaccine Update: Effective immediately those 75 and older can register to be vaccinated in Ventura County. You must live in Ventura County, show proof of residency and proof of age upon arrival at the appointment. There are 4,490 new cases for today, 37,906 additional tests, and 24 additional deaths: 30 year old male, 80 year old male, 91 year old female, 100 year old female, 91 year old female, 99 year old female, 88 year old male, 86 year old male, 93 year old male, 84 year old female, 81 year old female, 83 year old male, 63 year old female, 61 year old female, 96 year old female, 52 year old male, 75 year old male, 90 year old male, 84 year old female, 87 year old male, 94 year old female, 80 year old male, 66 year old male, and a 92 year old female. Our thoughts are with the families of those who have passed away and the medical team that cared for each one of these community members.

Although those over 75 are mentioned as being eligible in other parts of the document, they are not identified in the appointment section as being eligible.
COVID-19 vaccine is currently being prioritized for the following people:
Phase 1A
Tier 1
– Acute care, psychiatric and correctional facility hospitals
– Skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals
– Paramedics, EMTs and others providing emergency medical services
– Dialysis centers
Tier 2
– Intermediate care facilities for persons who need non-continuous nursing supervision and supportive care
– Home health care and in-home supportive services
– Community health workers, including promotoras
– Public health field staff
– Primary Care clinics, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Centers, correctional facility clinics, and urgent care clinics
Tier 3
-Specialty clinics
– Laboratory workers
– Dental and other oral health clinics
– Pharmacy staff not working in settings at higher tiers
