Vaccine Update
COVID-19 Vaccine appointments are full at this time. There are more community members wanting vaccines than appointments available this week because of the amount of vaccines we have available. More appointments will be added as more vaccines become available. The County receives vaccines from the state on a weekly basis. More vaccine distribution sites are launching but the County still needs more vaccines to add more appointments. We understand this is frustrating. We want to vaccinate the entire community as quickly as possible. We continue to expand infrastructure for distribution which will help move things forward once we receive more vaccines.
The County of Ventura is in Phase 1A health care including vulnerable community members at long term care facilities. Effective 1/19/21 those 75 and older can register to be vaccinated in Ventura County. You must live in Ventura County, show proof of residency and proof of age upon arrival at the appointment. Appointments can be accessed at the following link: www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information/portal/. A hotline will also be launched later in the week for appointments by phone.
