Oxnard District 2 Council Seat – Enrique Petris – Candidate Profile

Hello Oxnard citizens, my name is Enrique Petris and I’m interested in being you interim District 2 Oxnard Council Member. It would be an honor for me to serve in this capacity. If I’m the chosen candidate, I will fight hard to represent District 2 in the following four areas:

1. QUALITY OF LIFE.  I would work hard and closely with Distric2 citizens to provide safe and clean parks, sidewalks, streets and alleys. I will make sure monies that have been allocated and or reserved for infrastructure are spent for same purpose as the ordinance promised.
2. Public Safety. I will work hand in hand with District 2 citizens to create, keep and maintain a safe environment for citizens to enjoy their parks, workplace, schools, and neighborhoods. I will work closely with District 2 citizens to formulate public safety plans and assure our Police and Fire Departments have adequate resources to do their job and keep us safe.
3. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY. I will work closely with District 2 citizens to assure the city is using the latest revenue projection, reporting and program evaluation software. Additionally, I will work to assure the city hires the brightest financial analyst to assist in realistic budget formulation AND tracking budget goals.
4. I will work closely with District 2 citizens to assist me in creating adequate and effective city policies aimed at reducing homelessness in District 2 and throughout the city.

I promise to work hard to make our city one of the safest, cleanest cities to live in California and the U.S.A. I will also work hard to keep our promise that Oxnard is “The City That Cares”.
