Actress/director/author Marion Scherer will be discussing her latest book, “Hello, 31”.

“Hello, 31” is the story of her life but it’s presented with a fantasized twist!  Her question to the group will be, “If you could go back in time and confront your younger self what would you say to her. How would you advise her? Would you say anything at all?”

Her memoir is a journey into life’s memories. It’s the story of an older woman (Marion herself) who journeys back in time to confront her younger self.  Her reason for doing this is to ask, “What if we could re-interpret the experiences we had in the past, or see things in a different light?”  She will be bringing autographed copies of her book, and may read aloud from it as well. She will also be touching on another novel she’s currently working on about human trafficking, which ties in with SIO’s commitment to education and awareness of human trafficking in our own community.

Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women working to improve the lives of women and girls.  Chartered in 1945, Soroptimist of Oxnard provides volunteer and philanthropic service to the community of Oxnard, Ventura County, and worldwide.
