Synopsis of Incident
On Sunday, December 5, 2021, a Santa Paula police officer was proactively patrolling the 900 blk. E.
Main Street, Santa Paula, when he heard a window shatter. The officer located the business where the
window was smashed and saw a male removing items through the store’s broken window. During the
interruption of what appeared to be a burglary in progress, the suspect fled from the officers and was
detained without incident after a short foot chase. After confirming a burglary had occurred at the
business, officers arrested the suspect, who was identified to be a 16–year–old resident of Santa Paula.
The suspect was transported and lodged at the Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
