PHILADELPHIA (AP) — President Joe Biden warned Thursday night that “equality and democracy are under assault” in the U.S. as he sounded an alarm about his predecessor, Donald Trump, and “MAGA Republican” adherents, labeling them an extremist threat to the nation and its future.
Aiming to reframe the November elections as part of a battle for the nation’s soul — “the work of my presidency,” Biden used his prime-time speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia to argue that Trump and “Make America Great Again” allies are a challenge to nation’s system of government, its standing abroad and its citizens’ way of life.

The White House denounced supporters of President Donald Trump on Wednesday, accusing them of posing an “extremist threat to our democracy.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre began the daily briefing by condemning Republican leaders for their dangerous rhetoric but also said that President Joe Biden believed supporters of former President Donald Trump were also a threat.
“Let me be very clear, it’s not just Republican leadership, it’s not just that blanket right?” she said to reporters. “He’s talking about an extreme portion, an extreme part of the party.”
Biden threatens his political enemies with U.S. F-15 jets

President Joe Biden again threatened his political enemies via the mention of F-15 jets, this time during his Tuesday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Breitbart News reported on how Biden mocked Americans who believe owning AR-15s and similar rifles provides them a way to defend their liberty.
He said, “For those brave right-wing Americans who say it’s all about keeping America independent and safe, if you want to fight against the country, you need an F-15, you need something a little more than a gun.”
This is not the first time Biden has seemed to talk of pitting F-15s against his political enemies. He did it in February 2020, while on the campaign trail, and he did it again in June 2021, just months after taking office.
On February 10, 2020, Breitbart News noted Biden letting gun owners know that their AR-15s and AK-47s are no match for the government’s F-15s.
He said, “Those who say ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’ — a great line, well, guess what: The fact is, if you’re going to take on the government, you need an F-15 with Hellfire Missiles. There is no way an AK-47 is going to take care of you, if you’re worried about the government knocking down your door.”

FBI agents want Director Christopher Wray gone

FBI Director Christopher Wray has lost the confidence of rank-and-file FBI agents after a senior bureau official left under a cloud of accusations that he shielded Hunter Biden’s laptop from a criminal probe — and some believe the top G-man should step down, a new report says.
“I’m hearing from [FBI personnel] that they feel like the director has lost control of the bureau,” Kurt Siuzdak, a lawyer representing FBI whistleblowers, told the Washington Times in a report published Tuesday. “They’re saying, ‘How does this guy survive? He’s leaving. He’s got to leave.’
“[The FBI agents] are telling me they have lost confidence in Wray. All Wray does is go in and say ‘We need more training and we’re doing stuff about it,’ or ‘We will not tolerate it,’” Siuzdak said.
His comments come in the wake of Timothy Thibault, the top agent in charge of the FBI field office in Washington, either resigning or being forced out the door amid claims he blocked investigations into the first son’s laptop.
Thibault was escorted out of the field office last Friday by “headquarters-looking types,” the Washington Times reported.
Siuzdak told The Post that he left the bureau in March after a 25-year career, because management failed to hold bosses accountable, a problem that stems from politicization at the highest levels of the agency.
He told the Times that the whistleblowers have alleged that Wray, who was appointed by President Donald Trump in 2017, did not take action when confronted with issues inside the bureau that ranged from agents being forced to sign false affidavits to sexual harassment claims.

Pro baseball teams promote child sex change operations

An analysis by National Review shows an unseemly trend among 20 Major League Baseball teams supporting organizations that perform sex change operations on children.
The magazine reviewed the causes and organizations to which these teams are handing out millions of dollars in donations and found that many support sex-change surgery, hormone treatments, and other dangerous procedures for “transitioning” teens and pre-teens.
National Review found that almost every team in the league “promote or fund groups that encourage or provide sex-change procedures and gender-transition hormone treatment for minors as young as 12. Other organizations promote ‘social transitions’ — i.e., nonmedical changes in ‘gender expression,’ including the adoption of new names, pronouns, and clothing — for children as young as three.”
Much of the support these teams are lending is organized under the rubric of the widespread LGBTQ “Pride Nights” that the league pushes.
“It’s a classic case of institutional capture by the Left,” the magazine concluded. It is up to the fans to speak out and urge the league to reverse course on this outrageous advocacy.
Biden Administration: No one “walks over’ the border

Fox News’ Peter Doocy stumped White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over the border crisis, Twitter users declared on Monday.
“But that’s not it’s not like somebody walks over and-” Jean-Pierre stammered. “That’s exactly what’s happening,” Doocy repeated. Social media users attacked the press secretary for once again failing to properly answer a question and misleading on the border crisis.
Former acting ICE director Tom Homan argued on Aug. 18 that the border crisis under President Biden is one of the largest he has seen in over 35 years. Customs and Border Protection recorded over 2 million migrant crosses within the fiscal year of 2022, doubling the number from 2021.
Democrats “Out to Get” Trump “any way possible”

Dick Morris, political activist and adviser to former presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, told Newsmax on Monday that the Democrats are using federal agencies like the FBI and IRS to “get” Trump “any way possible.”
“I think the Democrats realized [they can’t beat Trump at the polls] and they decided to abstain from the political process and just use the control of the FBI and the IRS, and the various government agencies, to hound Trump out of office, and hopefully indict him, and make it illegal for him to run,” Morris said during “American Agenda” on Monday. “It won’t work, but we’re going to go through it. They’re going to indict Trump on any grounds they can.”
Morris said the recent FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, was “a fishing expedition” to find something incriminating on the former president.
Morris said Democrats will almost definitely find a reason to indict Trump to drive him from the American political stage.
“That’s why they did the search warrant,” Morris said. “That’s why they’re harassing him as much as they can. It’s of a piece [that] they’re going after his family, going after his children, going after his business, and groups that supported him.
“All that harassment is of a piece with the desire to go outside of the political realm and get rid of Donald Trump by any means possible.”

California set to allow abortions up to one month after birth

The ACLJ has just taken action today to put California’s extreme abortion supporting Governor Gavin Newsom on notice for a disgusting new bill he’s likely about to sign.
“We’re talking about California legislation AB 2223,” said ACLJ Senior Counsel CeCe Heil and “it’s the abortion legislation that included the perinatal language…We’ve been reporting on this ghoulish bill from its inception and, as we’ve warned you before, this bill could legalize infanticide up to 28 days after the baby is born (the perinatal period).
“Now the California legislature just passed the vile legislation into the night. We got notice from the legislature after 11 p.m. PST. Now it heads to Governor Gavin Newsom to be signed into law. If he does, it could allow instances of infanticide, actually preventing any kind of investigation where a newborn baby dies.
“Using the term ‘perinatal’—which is not the same as ‘prenatal” (before birth) is clearly intentional. Perinatal sounds like prenatal but it’s different. Prenatal refers to the baby in the womb. Perinatal can refer to a baby up to one month after birth. It’s outrageous.
“You can read our very detailed legal analysis where we break down how this bill and its use of “perinatal” instead of “prenatal” could essentially legalize infanticide. We have sent numerous legal letters to the legislature warning about the horrors this could unleash in California.
“In addition, we just sent a legal letter this afternoon directly to Governor Newsom’s office laying out exactly why the bill is depraved and deceptive and urging him not to sign it. As ACLJ Policy Director Harry Hutchison pointed out, this legislation could have far-reaching consequences beyond California.”

California District Court rules against mandatory abortion coverage

SACRAMENTO—A U.S. District Court issued a ruling after an eight-year legal battle that California churches and universities cannot be forced by the California Department of Managed Healthcare to cover abortions. The ruling was issued Wednesday, Aug. 24 by California’s Eastern District (one of four U.S. Districts in California) Chief Justice Kimberly J. Mueller—a Barack H. Obama appointee.
The three California churches that brought forth the lawsuit against California through Alliance Defending Freedom were Foothill Church in Glendora (Lead Pastor Chris Lewis), Calvary Chapel of Chino Hills (Pastor Jack Hibbs), and The Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch (Lead Pastor Dudley Rutherford).
The significance of this 1st Amendment case: Was whether the state can force churches to violate their religious beliefs by requiring them to cover elective abortion in their health plans.
The Key Points:
- Churches should be free to peacefully operate according to their faith. They cannot do that if the government is forcing them to violate their faith.
- The State of California is forcing these churches to violate their beliefs, at the request of an ideologically driving abortion corporation.
- The Constitution protects churches from being silenced or punished by the government for adhering to biblical teaching.
Five Key Facts:
- The state issued this mandate in response to specific demands from Planned Parenthood.
- Federal law protects Americans’ rights to decline to participate in abortion.
- No state agency has the right to force a church or anyone else to violate their deeply held beliefs by paying for abortion.
- Unelected bureaucrats are bending over backwards to please Planned Parenthood even though it has meant forcing churches to violate their deeply held beliefs about the sanctity of life by paying for abortions.
- This bullying is a new low, and it violated the Free Exercise Clause by targeting the churches’ exercise of religion.
“For years, California has unconstitutionally targeted faith-based organizations, so we’re pleased the court has found this mandate unconstitutional and will allow the churches we represent to operate freely according to their religious beliefs,” said ADF Senior Counsel Jeremiah Galus.
“Because Obamacare requires health insurance coverage, and the California mandate requires abortion coverage in any health plan, these churches are truly left with no way to opt out of paying for abortions,” said Galus. “What’s absurd, though, is that the same government that rightfully does not require California churches to pay for contraceptive coverage requires them to pay for elective abortion coverage. Californians should not be forced to choose between following their deepest convictions and submitting to unlawful and unnecessary government mandates.
“Elective abortions are not part of ‘basic health care,’” said Galus. “They have no business being forced into the medical coverage provided by churches that do not wish to support terminating lives due to very real, sincere, and well-known faith convictions.”
