It’s time to honor those who make the Pleasant Valley area a wonderful place to live.
Dons and Doñas have contributed more than what is normally expected of a good citizen. Some are members of pioneer families; others have made a difference in the community through their professional and volunteer work.
Our Dons and Doñas this year are, Left to Right: Brenda Brueckner, Karen Gatchel,Wayne Brueckner, Mary Ann Novak, Betty Weyek, Helen Faul, David Tennessen, Curt Luft, Mary G oldbrg, Gwen Speakes, Diana Hagen and Don Howald.
The Don and Doñas will be honored at the annual BBQ of the Pleasant Valley Historical Society on Sunday, September 17 at 1 pm at the Camarillo Community Center.
The event is eagerly anticipated and the public is invited to join the festivities, which include a Santa Maria Style BBQ meal.
Tickets are $100 for adults ($20 if under 13). Proceeds will help with construction of the new museum. For information, call 805-482-3660. To reserve your place, mail to PVHS, PO Box 570, Camarillo, CA 93011 , or go to https://pvhsonline.org/don-and-dona-barbeque
