Oxnard Police Incident Press Release
On June 17, 2021, at approximately 6:39 p.m. officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a suspected traffic violation at Oxnard Blvd. and Colonia Rd. One of the rear passengers in the vehicle, identified as Miguel Arteaga, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. As officers removed him from the vehicle they found Arteaga was in possession of a concealed handgun. Arteaga, a Ventura criminal street gang associate, was arrested for several firearms violations.
