Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release
On September 16, 2020, Detectives from the Oxnard Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) were conducting an investigation at a residence in the 700 block of Bluebell place in reference to a narcotics investigation related to the sale of Methamphetamine. During the investigation, officers observed Jesus Marquez, 22 year old Oxnard resident, enter the driver seat of a vehicle. Detectives knew Marquez had active probation for weapons related offenses. Detectives observed Marquez smoking narcotics in his vehicle and quickly drive off. An Oxnard Patrol Officer assisted detectives and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives conducted a search of Marquez’ residence per his search terms and located a large quantity of Methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging material. Marquez was charged with possession for sale of Methamphetamine, a felony. Marquez was booked into Ventura County Jail with a bail of $65,000.
