Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On April 17th at 7:25 AM a Ventura Police Department patrol officer saw a stolen vehicle in the area of Whipporwill St. and Peacock Ave. The vehicle was reported stolen in Santa Paula on 04/17/21 at about 4:00 AM. The officer observed Garcia walking away from the vehicle and took him into custody without incident. Garcia was arrested for unlawful taking of a vehicle and possession of stolen property.
A review of the Ventura County Superior Court website shows that Garcia has prior arrests for unlawful taking of a vehicle, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and carjacking.
