Another Ventura Vagrant Arrested – Suspected of Brandishing Knife, Threatening Victim

On June 11th at 11:56 AM, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call of a brandishing that just occurred outside of Baskin Robbins in the 2800 block of E. Main St. The victim confronted the suspect, later identified as 37 year old Vagrant, Henry Coots, about seeing him litter. Coots pulled out a knife and brandished at the victim, and threatened to harm him. Coots then fled the area on foot. Officers responded to the call and located Coots several blocks away. He was contacted and detained.

Coots was found to still be in possession of the knife.

Coots was identified as the suspect and arrested. He was later booked into the Ventura County Jail for making threats and brandishing a knife in a threatening manner.

The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.
