Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On January 10th at 2 AMthe Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call of an armed robbery that had just occurred near the intersection of Thompson Boulevard and Figueroa Street. It was reported the suspects had fled the scene driving east on Thompson Boulevard in white sedan, possibly a Toyota.
During the investigation, officers learned the two victims were walking in the area when the suspect vehicle drove alongside them. The vehicle stopped and the two suspects exited the rear of the sedan and approached the victims. One suspect brandished a knife and demanded both victims give up their property. Upon obtaining property from the victims, the suspects returned to their vehicle and fled the area.
Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. The victims were not harmed during this crime.
