    Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested | Oxnard

    SUBJECT: Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

    LOCATION: Robbery: iSmoke Shop, 321 South C Street Oxnard, CA

    Arrest: Ventura County Jail, 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA

    On January 3, 2022, at approximately 8:15 P.M., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at the iSmoke Shop, located at 321 South C Street. When officers arrived, they learned that two suspects entered the store and one of them brandished a handgun and held the store employee at gunpoint while the second suspect stole money from the register. Both suspects fled the business with the money.

    Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation. During the course of the investigation, investigators were able to determine that 27-year-old Oxnard resident Efrain Magallon was one of the parties responsible for the robbery. On January 14, 2022, at approximately 1:00 P.M., investigators responded to the Ventura County Jail to contact Magallon, who was in custody on unrelated charges. He was arrested for armed robbery.
