AARP Hammers Nursing Homes in Latest “Bulletin”

    By John Jay

The AARP (God bless them) released an AARP Bulletin just last week that blasted nursing homes for their abusive treatment of their elderly victims.  They also mentioned the shocking fact that nursing homes, generally,  cannot be sued for civil damages, when they kill an elderly patient thru gross neglect and/or abuse.   Why? Because nursing homes paid MILLIONS each year to the politicians (state and federal) to give them such protection!

Outrageous to say the least!!!  Large political donations are close to bribery;  very close.

The AARP is very meek in pursuing nursing home neglect on a nationwide basis.   They know nursing homes are protected by their paid minions in the state legislature and in Congress, so they ping on these same politicians to get them to change their policy of protecting nursing. homes. Regarding Covid 19, the Bulletin (and other sources) state that 40 percent of all Covid 19 deaths in this nation are in nursing homes.

That illustrates the vast, horrific scope of the problem.  Not genocide, to be sure, but it is getting closer to that level of horror.

The laws in this nation are divided into civil law (such as law suits) and criminal law (jail time for criminals).  Everyone who has lost a loved one due to gross negligence in nursing homes should file criminal complaints against those nursing homes.  If one of my relatives died in a nursing home, due to abuse or Covid 19 exposure, here is what

I would do: File a criminal complaint with the District Attorney.   File a criminal complaint with the local sheriff. File a criminal complaint with the local Grand Jury.   File a criminal complaint with the state Attorney General.   Then I would write to all newspapers about what happened. All of the following have taken place in nursing homes (all are criminal in nature): Manslaughter (voluntary and involuntary), and negligent homicide. Conviction of any of those gets you a prison sentence.
