Arrest Made in Port Hueneme Shooting of 7-Year Old

On July 2, 2019, a shooting into a residence occurred on the 100 Block of East Pearl Drive in the City of Port Hueneme. At the time of the shooting a family of five, including three juveniles, were inside the residence. As a result of the shooting, a 7 year old female and her mother were struck by bullets.

On December 18, 2019, 18 year old Oxnard resident, Anthony Silerio was arrested for his involvement with the shooting. He was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for Penal Code section 664/187, Attempted Murder, Penal Code section 246, Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling, Penal Code section 245(a)(2), Assault with a Firearm, and Penal Code section 186.22(a), Street Terrorism. He is currently in custody at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility with bail set at $1,000,000.
