    Arson Suspect Arrested in Nyeland Acres

    Investigators arrested (S) 31 year old Antonio Flores after he set fire to a vehicle in Nyeland Acres.

    On October 12, 2020, at about 5:13 AM, personnel from the Oxnard Fire Department and Ventura County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle fire on a driveway in the 3000 block of Orange Drive, in the unincorporated area of

    Nyeland Acres.  Fire department personnel arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire.  The fire was contained to the vehicle and no structures were threatened.  The preliminary investigation deemed the fire to be suspicious.

    Due to the suspicious nature of the fire, arson investigators from both the Ventura County Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office responded to the location.  Their investigation determined the fire was the result of arson.  

    Antonio Flores was identified as the suspect in this crime.  Flores was arrested for one felony count of arson and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.  Flores remains in custody on $40,000.00 bail and is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on October 23, 2020.
