    Artists, Local Nonprofit Art Organizations Are Encouraged To Apply For The City Of Oxnard Arts In Public Places Grant Program

    OXNARD, Calif. – The City of Oxnard’s Cultural Arts Commission announces the opening of the 2019 2020 Arts in Public Places (AIPP) grant process with the release of the annual request for proposals (RFP). All Oxnard-based artists and nonprofit arts organizations are encouraged to apply. The RFP and applications are available at www.oxnard.org/cultural_arts. Proposals must be received by Nov. 26, 2019 at 4 p.m.

    Applicants are required to attend one mandatory grant workshop in order to receive an overview of the grants process. To register for one of the four workshop dates available, please visit www.oxnard.org/cultural_arts.

    GRANT WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

    Completed applications must be submitted to the Cultural and Community Services Department located in the Oxnard Civic Center West Wing (305 West Third Street, Oxnard) by the deadline of Nov. 26 at 4 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.

    SELECTION PROCESS

    Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of art advocates and artists, who will be responsible for presenting their application review results to the Cultural Arts Commission for an official recommendation to the City Council. An announcement of grant funding recipients is expected by January 2020.

    OXNARD, Calif. – La comisión de artes culturales de la ciudad de Oxnard anuncia la apertura del proceso de la subvención de Arte en Espacios Públicos (AEEP) 2019-2020 con el lanzamiento de la solicitud anual de propuestas (SDP). Alentamos a los artistas y las organizaciones de arte sin fines de lucro establecidas en la ciudad de Oxnard a aplicar. El SDP y las aplicaciones están disponibles en www.oxnard.org/cultural_arts. Las propuestas deben recibirse antes del 26 de noviembre de 2019 a las 4 p.m.

    PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN
    Las presentaciones serán revisadas por un panel de partidarios e artistas. Ellos serán responsable de someter sus comentarios a la comisión de artes culturales con motivo de recomendación oficial al Concejo Municipal. La subvención de fondos otorgados espera ser anunciada en enero del año 2020.
