    Arts Council of the Conejo Valley Accepts Student Submissions for 2021 Hang with the Best Student Art Exhibition

    Multimedia exhibition showcases the emerging talents of students in grades 6-12 from the Conejo Valley

    Thousand Oaks, CA – The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley presents HANG WITH THE BEST call for submissions of art by young artists in grades 6 through 12.  Art can be submitted in different media include painting, photography, 3D and drawing. Student artwork can be submitted from January 18 to February 19, 2021.  Winners will be judged by local art professionals in the various media with cash prizes awarded.  

    Due to Covid-19, viewings of the winners’ artwork will be limited and viewing times at the Hillcrest Center, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, will be updated according to the CDC rules in force at that time. The winner’s artwork will also be exhibited from March 1 – April 26, 2021 on the website at https://conejoarts.org and ACCV Presents YouTube Channel.

    Hang with the Best is an annual art show that has been held by the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley for more than 25 years. Students enter paintings, printmaking, collage, sculpture, photography and digital styles.  Over 100 students participate annually. Hang with the Best provides an opportunity for young people to display their art in a professional public gallery or setting.  All eligible entries are placed on exhibit either in the gallery space or online. Funding for this event is provided through the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley and donations are needed to support this program.  For submission instructions, rules and information visit the ACCV website at www.conejoarts.org or contact the ACCV at: [email protected]

    The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley (ACCV) was established in 1969.  During its over four decade span, the ACCV has gone through extensive changes in its programs and services.  Established as a regional Federation of Arts organization that was formed to promote the community’s cultural development, the ACCV has evolved into a membership support agency that also delivers and co-sponsors many cultural programs.  Member services include marketing, technical assistance workshops, and lowered rent at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.  Their mission is to support growth of the arts in the area through activities and programs including this Legacy Scholarship.

    Exhibition will be live online March 1 – April 26, 2021
