Narrative:
Subjects arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy, and Participation in a Criminal Street Gang.
On 10/23/21, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the above listed suspects approached two transient adult victims who were living in the wash area located between Hillcrest Drive and the US 101 freeway. The suspects confronted the victims regarding being in a certain gang’s territory. During the altercation, Victor Lopez struck the male victim with an object, causing serious bodily injury to the victim, while Liseth Ayala participated in the attack.
On 11/03/21, members of the East County Major Crimes Unit located and arrested Victor Lopez. Liseth Ayala, who was in custody on unrelated charges, was also arrested for her involvement in this incident. Lopez’s bail was set at $210,000 and Ayala’s was set at $120,000; their next court date is set for 11/09/21 at 1:30 p.m.
