Living in Southern California means that things can get a little rustic at times. Living in the good ‘ole outdoors can mean, however, that there can be a lot of upkeep on your property to keep it fully functioning and looking good. Needless to say, this can be overwhelming and it can get pretty expensive. Good thing Paw Works has more innovative adoption programs than most rescues. We look to connect those who are hoping for a natural way to upkeep their properties with the help of a new feline friend. The Barn Cat Program is a unique way to provide a second chance to feral or semi-feral cats from city and county shelters.

Cats receive shelter, fresh water and a regular food supply within your barn or farm structures. In return, as the barn or ranch owner, you receive regular rodent control without the use of harsh chemicals or poisons. Our program has no charge and you will receive a minimum of two feral cats that are FELV/FIV negative, vaccinated and spayed or neutered delivered to your door. We have had huge success with our program at the Thacher School in Ojai, California, who, with a big horse-riding program has barns that need to be maintained. If you think that the Feral Cat Program would be a good match for you, please do not hesitate to call our stores or email us at [email protected] and learn more about our cats!

Sorry folks, the disease that can affect pregnant women is toxoplasmosis. Excuse my old age.
Feral cat’s are also a source of disease and pestilence for official pets and people. Be careful of what seems to be kindness….it could come back to bite you.
1) Can you imagine your indoor cat getting either feline leukemia or parasites from a truly feral cat?
2) Can you imagine the potential for your pregnant wife getting systoplasmosis, my phonetic spelling, causing a still birth?
