Pairing Selection

True wine enthusiasts know that pairing wine with food can dramatically enhance or destroy the experience of any favorite bottle purchased on site.

While most of the tasting rooms along the Ventura County Wine trail may offer complementary crackers and perhaps a selection of cheeses and chocolates, Bella Victorian Tasting Room & Bistro located in Old Town Camarillo offers a full lunch and dinner menu and the opportunity to pair their wine selections with Chef Andrew Pedroza’s gourmet creations right on the spot!

For fans of any food competition television show who long to get up close and personal with these amazing chefs, watch as they transform ordinary greens into an exquisite salad creation and, the best part, to taste the final dish, and, better still, pair the food with a delicious wine, Pedroza will amaze and delight all of your senses.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Pedroza has been the executive chef at Bella Victorian Tasting Room & Bistro since December, 2011. Two years later his Rustic Wild Boar Stew with Pancetta, Root Vegetables & Winter Mushrooms paired with Elena Syrah 2008, took home the “Best Food & Wine Pairing “- Judges Choice Award over eleven other restaurant-winery teams at the 2013 Local Food & Wine Challenge.

From the outdoor patio to the interior of the quaint bistro, the ambiance is a true wine country experience. The tasting counter is constructed of stainless steel wine tanks and the “kitchen” is located directly behind the tasting counter. Guests can watch Chef Pedroza create their dish from raw ingredients to the artistic presentation he creates right before their eyes.
