order arial, unhealthy sans-serif;”>The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is pleased to announce the Honorees for the 13th Annual ‘Stand Up for Kids’ Gala Dinner & Auction’ set for Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village.

Lon & Rocky Morton are the Event Honorees and Gary Stephani will receive the Cal Johnston Service Award.

Lon Morton joined the Boys & Girls Clubs Board in 2001 and has served on various committees including development, programs and strategic planning. He currently serves on the Boys & Girls Clubs Executive Board.

“Lon has an excellent reputation and is a businessman that cares about the community he serves and who wants to see young people succeed,” stated Cal Johnston, Founder of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. “His caring attitude has made him an integral part of our organization,” he added.

Gary Stephani is also being recognized for his contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Stephani joined the Boys & Girls Clubs Board in 2005 and has served on many committees such as resource development, finance, strategic planning and more. He has chaired the Gala Dinner & Auction twice, and is a member of the Executive Committee, also serving as Treasurer in the past.

”Gary Stephani has a long track record of service,” stated Jim Cathcart, Speaker, Author and former Boys & Girls Clubs Board Member. “He is not only highly successful in business, but is also generous with his time and resources,” he continued. “Gary is truly an asset to the Boys & Girls Clubs,” he added.

The 13th Annual ‘Stand Up for Kids’ Gala Dinner & Auction is the main fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. Evening highlights include a silent & live auction, gourmet dining, entertainment, and dancing. The Gala helps support over 3,800 children in excellent before and after school programs, sport leagues and summer camps. This year’s co-event sponsors are Morton Capital Management and Dr. Richard Grossman Community Foundation.
