    Brother and Sister Arrested for Narcotic Sales

    Detectives assigned to the Ventura County Combined Agency Team (VCAT) concluded an investigation of the brother and sister team of Apolina Estrada Preciado and Rogelio Estrada selling narcotics to Ventura County Residents. The Estrada siblings live in the City of El Monte.

    During the month of November 2020, VCAT detectives received information that Rogelio Estrada was selling large amounts of methamphetamine and heroin to Ventura County residents. VCAT detectives conducted an investigation and also identified his sister, Apolina Estrada Preciado as a co-conspirator in the illegal narcotic sales.

    On November 18, 2020, Ventura County Sheriff Narcotics Detectives and Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested Rogelio Estrada in the 1100 block of Garvey Avenue in the City of El Monte for being in possession of 3.2 pounds of heroin. Subsequent to the arrest, detectives served search warrants on two separate apartments located in the 4000 block of Penn Mar Avenue also in the city of El Monte. As a result of the search warrant, detectives seized 5.4 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.2 pounds of Fentanyl, half a pound of heroin, $72,589.00 in United States Currency, 3 unregistered handguns, 2 sets of body armor, and 350 live rounds of ammunition. The street value of all the narcotics seized is approximately $131,750.00.

    The Estrada siblings were arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for narcotic possession, narcotic sales charges as well as conspiracy and destruction of evidence. Both are being held in lieu of $600,000.00 bail.

    The Ventura County Combined Agency Team, also known as VCAT, is comprised of detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Special Agents from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and Federal Bureau of Investigation. VCAT is responsible for the investigation and arrest of persons and organizations who are engaged in mid to top-level drug trafficking impacting the residents and businesses of the County of Ventura.

    I hope the police were on this brother and sister team like white on rice. How many lives, how much crime was committed because of their activities? There are certain cultures that would execute people like this. There are reasons for the death penalty, their crimes make culture UGLY and unlivable for citizens. Why spare these two?
