Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release

During the month of February, 2021, the Oxnard Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) began an investigation into narcotics activity occurring at a residence located in the 200 block of Driffill Blvd. During the investigation, detectives identified Jesus Oy as being involved in the sales and trafficking of methamphetamine. DEU Detectives developed enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for narcotics sales.

On February 14, 2021, with the assistance of SEU Officers, Jesus Oy was located in the City of Ventura. SEU Officers contacted Oy to serve the search warrant and he was found to be armed with a loaded semi-automatic firearm and in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. After Oy was detained, SEU Officers and DEU Detectives served a search warrant at his residence. During the service of the search warrant, officers detained Sergio Paz. Detectives conducted a search of the residence and located a loaded assault rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, a large quantity of methamphetamine, a large quantity of US Currency, and further evidence of narcotics sales.

Jesus Oy was arrested for several narcotics sales violations and firearms violations, all felonies. Sergio Paz was also arrested for felony narcotics violations and felony firearms violations.
