California Public Schools to Teach LGBTQQIAA Dogma to 3rd Graders

Californians need to act now on the new state Health Education Framework.

In 2016, several doctors tore into new guidelines that promoted transgenderism in the Canadian province of Alberta. They refused to accept the new orthodoxy advanced by progressive activists that “gender is a social construct,” and insisted that identifying one’s gender as different from one’s biological sex is a disorder akin to anorexia. As the MDs pointed out, with anorectics, the role of parents, doctors, and teachers is “not to uncritically approve” their disordered thinking, “but to help them recognize the source of such confusion and to reaffirm and help re-align their ‘assigned’ sexual gender with their perceived identity.”

Dr. Michelle Cretella, President of the American College of Pediatricians, also bucks the transgender party line. Echoing the Canadian doctors, she asserts, “Sex is determined at conception by our DNA and is stamped into every cell of our bodies. Human sexuality is binary. You either have a normal Y chromosome and develop into a male, or you don’t, and you will develop into a female. There are at least 6,500 genetic differences between men and women. Hormones and surgery cannot change this.”

Most recently, Brown University physician and researcher Lisa Littman released a study that interrupts the trans-bully narrative. Her findings suggest that “rapid-onset gender dysphoria,” in young people may be driven in part by “social and peer contagion.” She claims that nearly 70 percent of the teenagers were involved with a peer group in which at least one friend had identified as transgender. In some groups, the majority had done so. Nearly 65 percent of teens had spent an increased amount of time online and on social media, and “parents reported that pro-transgender YouTube videos and blogs might have been influential.” Needless to say, the doctor is being painted as a bigot by the true believers.

The situation has become Orwellian, where defiance of the “newthink” can cost you dearly. In England, a teacher was fired in late 2017 for the crime of “misgendering.” He said, “Nice job, girls” to two females in his class. But one of the girls had identified as a male. (British schools now teach that boys can have periods too. Gee, I wonder if they can also have abortions?) In Indiana, an orchestra  teacher was forced to resign in June because he refused to “pretend that boys can be girls.” Essentially the same thing happened in Virginia earlier this month, where a substitute teacher lost his job for not using a student’s preferred pronoun.

And now the contagion is spreading through California. In 2016, AB 329became law. It modified the state’s sexual education curriculum to include LGBTQ health issues. Then late last year, LGBT-inclusive textbooks were mandated in k-12 schools. The new books, for example, make sure the kiddos know that legendary stagecoach driver Charlie Parkhurst “was a woman who identified as a man.”

Now we have a revised Health Education Framework that’s about to be rolled out in the Golden State. As Orange County teacher and school board member Brenda Lebsack writes, the nearly 1,000 page document “creates teaching guidelines for health education, but could also impact Social Studies and English Language Arts through new concepts and book recommendations.” Lebsack continues,

In Chapter 3, Line 1847, the draft recommends the book Who Are You? for pre-K–3rd graders as a “guide” to develop their gender identity. This book introduces young children to the idea that gender is a spectrum. This means genders are unlimited and ever-expanding, rather than confined to two biological genders. In the book, gender is described as, “boy, girl, both, neither, trans, genderqueer, non-binary, gender fluid, transgender, gender neutral, agender, neutrois, bigender, third gender, two spirit…” In Chapter 5, Line 643, the draft introduces sexual orientations as a spectrum as well. LGBTQ+ is defined as an ever-changing spectrum with expanding concepts to include “queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, allies and alternative identities (LGBTQQIAA).” Other sexual orientations introduced in Chapter 6, Line 938 include “pansexual and polysexual.”

Even worse, state law provides that “instruction or materials that discuss gender, sexual orientation, or family life and do not discuss human reproductive organs and their functions” are not subject to parental notice and opt-out laws, according to The California Safe School Coalition.

As Lebsack writes, while the proposed California framework won’t be considered for adoption by the State Board of Education until May, 2019, books such as Who Are You? (subtitled “the kid’s guide to gender equity”) with lesson plans have been provided to teachers via a free digital library.

    Do not let this happen in CA. This is crazy to teach this LGBTQQIAA Dogma to 3rd Graders, or children of any age. These are our children not yours! CA is not a communist state although it acts like it ignoring the voters wishes on a daily basis.
