The City of Camarillo and Pleasant Valley Lions Club will host a scaled back 4th of July celebration this year due to anticipated construction at Camarillo High School. The football field and practice field will be closed on July 4; seating available in home bleachers only. No kids activities are planned this year.

Gates will open at 7PM, and admission is free for all attendees. The Naval Base Ventura County Color Guard will kick off the evening with a presentation of colors, followed by upbeat, family-friendly DJ music. Beverages and wrapped desserts/candy will be available for purchase onsite from the Pleasant Valley Lions Club (no Lionburgers or hotdogs).

The evening will conclude with a 25-minute, multi-level fireworks display beginning at 9PM. Listen to the fireworks soundtrack wherever you are watching by tuning to KBBY 95.1 at 9:00 PM!

Pleasant Valley Fields (Village at the Park) will be open for viewing the fireworks!  Please note that while you are permitted to bring your own blankets and chairs to Pleasant Valley Fields, no barbecues, EZ-ups, pets, personal fireworks, or bounce houses are allowed. No smoking or vaping, alcohol, marijuana, pets, or personal fireworks will be permitted on the ACHS campus or at Pleasant Valley Fields.

Free parking and shuttle service to/from Camarillo High School available at the Metrolink Station (30 Lewis Road); and in the parking lot behind Technicolor, (3233 Mission Oaks Blvd). Shuttles run every 15 minutes from 6:45 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Due to limited space in the bleacher seating area, no coolers, umbrellas, chairs, EZ-ups, large strollers/wagons, etc. allowed. Strollers may be parked in a designated area at your own risk.

Event sponsors include the Camarillo/Somis Pleasant Valley Lions Club, the City of Camarillo, Oxnard Union High School District and Adolfo Camarillo High School. For more information, please visit the City of Camarillo Facebook page, call 805-383-5696, or click here.
