Police Release Photos of Suspects: Camarillo Citibank Robbed at Gunpoint

On 08-31-17, at about 2:38 p.m., Ventura County Sheriff’s dispatch received a call of a armed bank robbery that had just occurred at the Citibank located at 430 Arneill Road in Camarillo. When deputies arrived, they discovered a solo male suspect had entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from a bank teller. The bank teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled from the bank in an unknown direction. There were several other employees and customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.

The suspect has been described as a white or Hispanic male in his 30’s or 40’s. He is approximately 5’8” to 6’0” tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a long sleeve shirt with a reflective, construction-type vest. Witnesses reported the suspect may have also been wearing a fake beard in order to conceal his identity.

Major Crimes detectives are handling the investigation of this robbery. Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and observed the suspect’s actions before, during, or after the robbery are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau at (805) 384-4737.
