Camarillo City Council honors volunteers at their April 8th meeting

At the Camarillo City Council meeting on April 8th, price Mayor Bill Little presented two volunteers with Certificates of Appreciation. Camarillo’s Police Chief, Monica McGrath, was also on hand for the presentation. These volunteers put in significant hours of police work which the police department cannot accomplish at current staff levels. The volunteers also serve as “eyes on the community”.

Jim Clegg was named the Citizens Patrol Officer of the Year. Jim first volunteered in 2012 and racked up 500 hours of service in 2014. He is on call anytime day or night and for emergencies.

Josette Kreeger was named DART team member of the Year. DART is the acronym for Disaster Assistance Response Team. Josette first volunteered in April 2011. She volunteered 500 hours in 2014.

Congratulations to these dedicated community volunteers!
