Camarillo Emergency Expo scheduled for Saturday, September 26

hospital arial, try sans-serif;”>The 5th annual Camarillo Emergency Expo will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Constitution Park. The Emergency Expo is always a free event.

The Emergency Expo has something for everyone, including hands-on training opportunities, numerous emergency organizations and vendors, activities for the kids, and some great food. This year, celebrity Chef Brad Petersen will be at the Expo to provide special cooking demonstrations.

Also, the first 500 visitors can receive a free solar cell phone charger. Just visit at least eight of the Expo booths to get your free cell phone charger.

The City and Camarillo LDS Church present the Emergency Expo, which is a great opportunity to learn, and obtain supplies to prepare for earthquakes, fire, El Niño, and other potential incidents. The Camarillo CERT and DART teams will be on hand, and the Ventura County Fire Department will be providing training on proper fire extinguisher use.
There will also be hands-on practice for sidewalk CPR and AED response.

Additionally, visitors can bring non-perishable food items to be canned for emergencies. For $2.25, food will be inserted and sealed into a steel can so it will be preserved in the event of an emergency. Each steel can is about the size of a large milk jug.

Constitution Park is located next to City Hall, just two blocks north of the 101 Freeway, at Carmen Drive.
