Camarillo | Suspects Arrested for Identity Theft and Narcotic Violations

Ventura County Sheriff – – Incident Press Release

On August 21, 2020, detectives assigned to the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail arrested Monique Elliot and Anthony Hernandez for possession of and being under the influence of illegal drugs and for being in possession of other people’s identifying information.

On August 21, 2020, Camarillo Police Special Enforcement Detail detectives were conducting high visibility patrols within the city of Camarillo. At about 2:20 PM, they made a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the 100 block of Ventura Boulevard. During the traffic stop, detectives identified one of passengers in the vehicle as Anthony Hernandez and confirmed he was on Ventura County probation for HS 11377(a) / Possession of a controlled substance, with search terms. Another passenger in the car was identified as Monique Elliott. Elliott is also on Ventura County probation for PC 496(a) / Receiving Stolen Property.

During a search of the vehicle, detectives located an amount of methamphetamine and paraphernalia consistent with illegal drug use. In addition, detectives located a backpack in the vehicle that contained the personal identifying information of 30 individuals. This information consisted of names, date of births, birth certificates, social security cards, California and out of state driver’s licenses, vehicle registration cards, bank account numbers and several apartment rental applications. The addresses listed on the paperwork indicated the victims are not just from the Ventura County area, but numerous surrounding counties. Along with this information, there were handwritten, specific instructions on how to decode and calculate the 3 digit CVV security codes on credit cards and on how to decrypt credit cards.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives arrested Elliott for PC 530.5(c) (3) / Possession of Personal Identifying Information of 10 or more people, and HS 11364 / Possession of drug paraphernalia. Elliott also had an active Ventura County felony warrant for PC 530.5 / Identity Theft. Hernandez was arrested for HS 11377(a) / Possession of a controlled substance, HS 11550(a) / Under the influence of a controlled substance, and HS 11364 / Possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention facility. Elliott’s bail was set at $70,000.

The Camarillo Police Department Special Enforcement Detail is a plain clothes unit that conducts a variety of investigations of criminal activity occurring within the City of Camarillo. The goal of SED is to reduce property crime and violent crime through investigations and directed enforcement.

As the deceptively-named LULAC expands its ‘community organizing’ efforts in Camariilo, and more conservative Camarillans flee the area, expect more stories like this in the future.

Meth and the rest of these addictive drugs are taking a huge toll on us. If Black Lives Matter had any sense they would be helping stamp out this blight. But no, they are happy to extort corporations for funds to further their left wing nonsense. Too bad, for all of us.
