Camarillo: Teen dies-Suspect arrested in Taco Bell stabbing
rx arial,sans-serif;”>On September 1, 2015, the juvenile stabbing victim died at the Ventura County Medical Center as a result of the injuries he received during the altercation at the Taco Bell on Flynn Road. Major Crimes Detectives working with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit and the Special Crimes Unit continued working the case throughout the night. Several leads were followed up on and witnesses were interviewed.
During the investigation, 20 year old Camarillo resident, Tyler James Ostertag was identified as the suspect in this case. Detectives were able to locate Ostertag at a motel in Riverside. Ostertag was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for murder. His bail has been set at $1,000,000.00. Detectives are still actively reviewing evidence and speaking with witnesses to determine the motive for the altercation. At this time, there is no indication this was a gang related incident.
