Camarillo | Three People Arrested in Connection with Vehicle Thefts, Identity Thefts, and Property Crimes

Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release

Investigators with the Camarillo Police Department served a residential search warrant and arrested three people in connection with a multitude of property crimes, identity thefts, and vehicle thefts.

On March 30, 2021, investigators from the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail and the Camarillo Investigation Bureau executed a residential search warrant in the 200 block of Trellis Place.  Through the investigation of multiple mail thefts, property crimes, and vehicle thefts, Chad Dalgeish was identified as a suspect in these crimes.  The vehicle thefts and other crimes occurred not only in Camarillo but also in surrounding Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles County cities.

Once investigators and deputies entered the house on Trellis Place, they discovered stolen property, evidence of identity theft, and a reported stolen motorcycle.  The motorcycle had been stolen in the City of Oxnard from an active United States Service Member.  The Service Member was contacted and detectives were able to make arrangements to return his motorcycle to him.  As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that Kymmberli Ureda and Brandon Harmon were also involved in these property crimes which spanned three counties.

Kymmberli Ureda was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for Identity Theft, Forgery, Possession of Burglary Tools, and for being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  Ureda’s bail was set at $250,000.

Chad Dalgeish was arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for Identity Theft, Forgery, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and for Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  Dalgeish’s bail was set at $150,000.

Brandon Harmon was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for Identity Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Resisting Arrest.  Harmon’s bail was set at $255,000.

This investigation is still continuing as detectives continue to identify victims and link more crimes to the suspects.  Ureda, Dalgeish, and Harmon, are expected to appear in Ventura Superior Court on Friday April 2.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public to not leave valuable items inside their vehicles in plain sight, lock your vehicle, and retrieve your mail on a regular basis.  Items left inside unlocked vehicles and mail left unattended are easy prey for criminals looking to steal your identity and your valuables.
