On 03-12-2021, a Camarillo Police Department deputy arrested two subjects for multiple criminal violations including mail theft, identity theft, possession of stolen property and possession of illegal narcotics.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. a Camarillo Police motor deputy conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The deputy contacted the driver, (A) Brandon Harman, and the passenger (A) Braulio Rodriguez. During the enforcement stop, the deputy learned Rodriguez was on probation with search terms for drugs, burglary tools, stolen property, and weapon related charges.
A probation search was conducted of the vehicle. Numerous credit cards, mail, tax returns, tools, shaved keys, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were found inside the vehicle. After further investigation, it was determined that some of the credit cards were stolen from a vehicle burglary in the city of Thousand Oaks. Harman and Rodriguez were ultimately arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.
The Camarillo Detective Bureau assisted deputies with the property recovered from the vehicle. They were able to identify more than 10 victims of stolen mail from the city of Camarillo as well as stolen property from victims from the cities of Simi Valley and Oxnard.
