Camarillo Water Safe for Drinking & Washing

Camarillo, California – The City of Camarillo wants to assure the community that our water is both safe and reliable and we have provided answers to some commonly asked questions.

    Is my drinking water safe?

Yes, the City’s water is safe to drink. The City’s water supply continues to meet all stringent state and federal drinking water requirements, and the current water treatment processes are specifically designed to protect the public from harmful bacteria and viruses, including flu and COVID-19. The City of Camarillo is committed to providing customers with safe, reliable, and quality water services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Will water continue be available?

Yes. The City’s Public Works Department water and wastewater facilities staff are utilizing social distancing practices and have measures in place to safely perform their duties. The community can rely on the City for a safe supply of water.

Keep Our Pipes Running Clog Free!

Dispose of all disinfecting wipes and paper towels in the trash. Please do not flush wipes down the toilet, not even the “flushable” kind. These can cause costly damage to your house pipes and also to City sewers. It is important that everyone in our community does their part to keep our pipes running clog free.

Will City water/sewer service be discontinued for delinquent accounts?

The City’s Water Division will waive utility payment penalties for non-payment and will not shutoff water service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Late penalties assessed before the City’s emergency declaration will be tolled, not waived.

How can I pay my water and sewer bill if City Hall is closed?

Credit card payments (Visa and Mastercard only) may be made online or over the phone. Please call (805) 388-5325, and select option 1 for an automated payment system, available 24/7. Visa, Mastercard or E-Check payments may also be made on our City of Camarillo website 24/7.

Checks can be mailed or hand-delivered to the payment drop box in the front parking lot of City Hall, at 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo.  Check payments deposited in this box are collected every morning, Monday through Friday. No credit card or cash payments will be accepted in this box.

For cash payments, please call (805) 388-5325, and select option 2 to speak to a customer service representative, available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
