Chamber Announces Award Winners for Annual Recognition Gala
Westlake Village, CA – The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will host their “Evening in Wonderland” Recognition Gala, on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Calamigos Ranch. The event will feature live entertainment by World Champion illusionist Jason Latimer and will honor outgoing Chair of the Board Angel Robertson of Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center (formerly of Dallas Capital) and winners in seven different award categories.
- Business of the Year – Ventura County Credit Union
Ventura County Credit Union has over 85,000 members and makes its presence felt by serving those members with the highest quality hands-on options. Their Foundation is a steadfast supporter of the non-profit community bridging the gap for thousands of people impacted by unfilled needs.

As the Economic Development Manager for the City of Thousand Oaks, Haider Alawami has used his expertise to guide the innovation and progress of the rebirth of Thousand Oaks Boulevard towards a millennial friendly, walkable downtown that our employers and residents can embrace into the future.

Dianne McKay is an influential nonprofit leader, trustee of the Ventura County Community College District, business owner and partner at Mustang Marketing. She is one of the strongest voices for the importance of continuing education for all students and has provided more than 25 years of volunteer service in the education sector.

Formed over 20 years ago, the Thousand Oaks Boulevard Association is the collaborative visionary property owners along Thousand Oaks Boulevard who have worked to create the highest best use for the community by providing a new kind of housing, business and living space that will become our downtown and in essence, the “front lawn” of the City of Thousand Oaks.
- Ambassador of the Year – Michael Reardon, Palm Garden Hotel
Michael Reardon of the Palm Garden Hotel is an Air Force Veteran who is present in every aspect of the Ambassadors, welcoming new and potential members at every event and throughout the community while serving as a true resource for all Chamber members. Michael was also recognized by the Chamber as a 40 Under Forty recipient in 2017.
- Volunteer of the Year – Frances Brough
Frances Brough is a retired teacher who has volunteered for decades to make the Conejo Valley a better place. Her willingness to take the helm of volunteer leadership roles in organizations like Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation, the California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks and Community Conscience, make her a valuable member of the community and one whom others vastly appreciate and admire.
