Charges filed in Planned Parenthood arson — Defendant’s ex-girlfriend employed at facility

Totten announced today that Alvaro Perez (DOB 5-8-91), of Oxnard, has been charged with two counts of arson pursuant to Penal Code section 451(c) and Penal Code section 451(d) as well as one count of stalking pursuant to Penal Code section 646.9.

The charges stem from the September 30, 2015, fire at the Planned Parenthood Facility in Thousand Oaks. The defendant’s former girlfriend was employed by Planned Parenthood and the stalking and arson were directed at her.
