    Book publicist Darlene Chan explains how third party promo services work for ebooks. She’ll talk about how you can engage companies like eReaderDaily, BookBub, Kindle Nation Daily, and services like Amazon Countdown to increase sales and visibility.Using these services can increase your ebook sales and improve your bottom line. There are ways to do this and build a following along with sales. Darlene has been doing this for clients with great success and will explain all at our July 28th meeting. Bring your questions!

    Darlene Chan has worked with writers throughout her entire professional career, starting first in the film industry. In the mid-’80s, she served as a creative and production executive for Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures. Among the films Darlene worked on during this time were Beverly Hills Cop, King David, D.A.R.Y.L. Explorers, Shoot to Kill and Flight of the Navigator. She also worked on talent and producer deals such as Eddie Murphy, Simpson & Bruckheimer, and countless other producers and screenwriters under contract to Paramount and Disney. In addition, Darlene supervised the Story Department at Disney. In the late ’80s she moved to independent production and produced Grumpy Old Men, Thing Called Love, Shattered, Over Her Dead Body, and The Last of the Finest while serving as Vice President of Production at Davis Entertainment. Darlene continued her independent producer status with Uptown Entertainment, headed by hip-hop/R&B music mogul Andre Harrell. She continued with Harrell at Motown Entertainment, and after that, set up projects at Warner Bros. and DEF Films as a solo film producer. In 2001 Darlene joined the animation business publication Animation World Network (www.awn.com) as a manager. When the company started VFXWorld.com in 2005 to focus on 3D and CGI, she became managing editor for both publications. Darlene began Darlene Chan PR in January 2009, specializing in web PR and social media for authors.
